Stalin had asked FDR for American soldiers to help him fight against German troops on Soviet soil. Roosevelt never sent a single American soldier to help the Soviets. This greatly angered Stalin. In February of 1945 the big three met in Yalta, Crimea. This would be the last time that Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin would meet. In a few months Roosevelt would be dead, Churchill would be replaced by Clement Atlee, only Stalin remained. Although Stalin had promised to help the US in the south Pacific against Japan as soon as Germany had surrendered, this never happened. Now, for the question; Take on the role of Premier Josef Stalin and tell me what went through your mind when you first got word of the devastation caused by the above bomb?
